Anent the opening of the new store in Split, well-known domestic fashion duo ELFS presented an original campaign for the current collection ˝Santa Balkana’’, inspired by mexican soap operas which had marked their childhood. The face of the new collection is an actress Doris Pinčić Rogoznica who is a familiar face to all of the soap operas fans.

Beside the fact that she is currently playing a part in TV series ‘Vatre ivanjske’, she is a refreshing face as well as a host of one of the most popular culinary talent show – ‘Tri, dva, jedan – kuhaj!’.

‘I think that I have done the job well and I like the collection! I was delighted by the fact that you can find a piece in their collection for everyone, therefore young girls and older ladies will be able to find something to go with their style. Guys did a great job, I strongly support everything that was made by our domestic designers’, was said by Doris to whom this was a first collaboration with the fashion duo, as well as first modelling steps.

‘With this collection as well, we referred to phenomena of popular culture, and this time the light was on soap operas, also known as ‘telenovela’. Our childhood was marked by classics such as Santa Barbara and many other South American TV series (Rosa Salvaje, Los Ricos Tambien Lloran, Marisol, Esmeralda…). Even though they were criticized a lot, this format of TV series made a great impact on our generation and popularized Spanish language.

‘That seemingly predictable concept where everything spins around a couple in love, belted with intrigues, really represents a fairytale-like idea of life, where good always wins against evil and the last episodes finish with marriages and happy end. This optimistic vision of life is characteristic for our fashion expression, with our work we want to cheer up people and make a regular day prettier’ designers said.

The campaign shows intersection of current collection which is made of distinguishing ELFS pieces, wearable, functional and distinct design. This season’s vision of ELFS girl goes from gentle romantic who likes nude colors and flower ornaments, to the vamp girl who chooses retro elegance. In her free time, she chooses tracksuit and statement T-shirts which make a reference to the popular soap operas, whereas for special occasions she picks pompous elegant dresses, worth any red carpet. Everything is completed with jewelry, purses, sunglasses and phone covers from their ELFS assortment.

Doris thrilled us, not only she’s one of the most beautiful women from our region, but she is a big professional.
