RESPONSIBLY MODERN RETURN OF ELFSA

Until the last moment, the secret, recycling yard Žitnjak became the catwalk of another well-known Croatian fashion tandem, Aleksandar Šekuljica and Ivan Tandarić, this afternoon. This time they prepared the show “Slow down, go green” which focuses on the autumn / winter 2021 collection of the same name on thoughtful domestic production and sustainable approach to fashion, and judging by the first reactions of many fashion lovers, ELFSI once again hit and showed how to be fashionable at the same time and responsible.

As it usually happens, when it comes to ELFSIMA, this fashion event is a complete departure from the usual, placing designer fashion in an unusual environment – a recycling yard that gathered many guests, fashion lovers and their loyal friends. With the synergy of an unusual location and striking pieces of clothing, the duo wanted to emphasize that the fashion industry is one of the biggest polluters in the world, but also that with a sustainable approach to fashion, it is very possible to be responsibly fashionable.

ELSFI presented a complete collection with which they remain faithful to their fashion handwriting and philosophy. With wearable timeless classics, they confirm that they not only promote sustainability and thoughtfulness, but also offer just that. The collection alternates formal dresses and futuristic jackets with eclectic stylings, and a whole range of muted colors is represented, with a multitude of shades of old gold, bronze and green. One of the main actors is the classic jacket, which in terms of design completes the message of slowing down and the principle of restoring fashion to factory settings, but in a very interesting and playful way. The most common model in the collection are folded dresses, which over the years have become a trademark of ELFSA design, and which their clients especially love because they can easily adapt to any style and body line. Clothing combinations are complemented by small and micro handbags, and will lift almost all autumn and winter outfits. Part of the collection is made from recycled materials, and during the production, all waste is donated to the Humana Nova Cooperative, which is then processed.

This time, too, people from the public life of Croatia did not miss the fashion show, so Matija Vuica, Tihana Harapin Zalepugin, Boudoir sisters, Antonija Blaće, Doris Pinčić, Lejla Filipović, Olja Vori, Ida Prester, Uršula Tolj enjoyed the front lines in this fashion section. Borna Rajić, Ivana Mišerić, Josipa Pavićić, Marta Fernandez, Iva Todorić, Emina Pršić, Danijela Pintarić, Ivana Delač, Nina Slamić Gudeljević, Nabilah Harron, Ana Miščević, Tomislav Petranović, Dalibor Petko, Stefan Orlić, Neven Ciganović and many others.

The secrets of home care for the face, body and hair are revealed by Kiehl’s, and there is also Garnier Fructis, which will not use non-recycled plastic until 2025, which will save over 40,000 tons of plastic per year. Fructis shampoo and conditioner bottles are already made of 100% recycled plastic.
